harrishawk999 4
Hi all i have a s410 that needs a service, I had a old friend what was a game keeper that was doing it for me then one day I woke up to a text on my phone saying your gun is on the door step, I was fuming. I then put some air in it to see if it was working but it would not do anything, so I got some seals fitted them and its sort of working know, I would like it service and put throw a chronograph as on the s410 you have a little screw to turn it up and down and he has not even put the right screw back in it, I am to scared to use it so its just been sat in the gun safe, but i have had a call off the farmer asking me to pop up so could do with it know, I was going to take it to the shop but its going to cost a arm and a leg so was just going to see if any gun smiths on here thank you for your time in reading this, I also need it bluing but will be doing this my self as just ordered the kit to did it. Thank you I am in Telford Shropshire Quote Link to post
moxy 617
So what is it exactly your after? The use of someone's chrono or a strip and a fettle? And it's sort of working.............?? Atb Quote Link to post
harrishawk999 4
If i could put it throw a chrono 1st to see what it is shooting at as i dont think its getting the same amount or air every shoot as its shooting all over the place, I am not sore if it is shooting over or under, It need two screws replacing and it just dont feel as smooth as it did, also the gage under the rifle is not working must be the seals. bilbobagins 92
sounds like you could do with a full strip and service and it won't be cheap and as for the bluing a home job is nowhere near as good as a pro job, maybe try the air arms forum some good guys on there Quote Link to post
jeppi26 1,855
I av just ad mine stripped and serviced and a brass bush re fitted in the air cylinder that was new seals stripped internals cleaned and re greased re calibrated and the said part re fitted all for £70 I thought that was cheep and the gun is better than new and I can tell it as been serviced it shoots better and feels better when shot. What's the price on re blueing? And haveing the barrel screw cut?? Quote Link to post
