New to trout fishing

i have been doing some sea fishing but the sea is useless now for fishing so i have moved onto spinning/fly/bait for trout can i get some advice on catching these in fish and what to look for in a river/lake/loch etc?

i dont do fly fishing mate, but if you use a float or ledger try using bread, maggots, worms, sweetcorn or trout pellets.

if you have a running river i find that using a light rod and light line with no sinker, walk up river and place line near bank and let the line go with the current and go under the bank and into all the little fishes hiding spots. i find that worms work great on trout

the trout fishing season is almost over although you can fish right through for the rainbows.

 

if its a winter sport you're after why nt try pike ?
