.22 Baracuda Hunter Extreme Vs Bisley Magnum !!

Recommended Posts

They're both pretty much the same pellet mate. This is just like general barracuda and magnums to be honest. I have the same issue with air arms fields and jsb exacts. Get a couple of sample tins and find out... I'm gonna have to do the same.

I couldn't get magnums to group at all through the rapid. Absolutely shocking.

The Barracuda's were spot on but I only tried the copper coated flavour. They grouped well up to 60yds (FAC). Never tried them beyond that.

The Hunter Extreme is a H&N Baracuda pellet with a crossed hollowpoint head, weights a couple grains less than the original pellet. I've tried them in my .25 Stealth (don't have them in .22 ) 28.4 grain versus 31 grains. Out to 40 meters they behave similar, further away the Bara is much more accurate. I use them in a .25 FAC Stealth, doing 50 fpe+

Accuracy wise I would go for the Bara's / Bisley Magnums (same pellet ;) ) Under 40 meters the Hunter is impressively devastating, doing a lot of damage ......, but anything hit with a Baracuda in the right place won't do much either.
