Anyone Lost A Hawk, Northants?

Just received this message.

 

Harris Hawk (I believe) spotted in Geddington Northants NN14 1AL Twice in the last 3 weeks (she/ he has jesses) so belongs to someone. I see someone lost one in May in this area... but all blog sites seem to need you to be members to respond!!! I got VERY frustrated last night as it was sitting in apple tree for 1/2 hour by the time I jumped through all hoops it was gone and now they expect me to spend money to join site!!! My telephone is 07977 045461... and as an aside (not a falconer) but have temporary area to keep but not sure how to go about capture of Harris - do I need to sacrifice a chook and swing round on a lure or will they come in to a glove and food??? Please let me know what to do getting VERY frustrated as if one of my dogs or livestock was missing would need immediate response when seen!!!

Hi the one lost a short while back I posted on here for the guy who lost it. He now has it back. I believe this one has been out for a year +. Thanks for posting I will give this guy a call and see if I can help him out. Not ment to trap but in this case it is the better of the evils. This bird will end up getting shot as a pest or as a bird that may breed with buzzards. It would be nice to track down owner as I'm sure this bird has been see all over the place in the same area!!

Have a look at making a bal chatri trap ian. easy to make and should capture the hawk if Its it the area and hungry
