Fennster16 29
Just asking for an opinion on my bitch fenn. She's a beadie x grey 6 1/2 years old and her behaviour has changed over the last few months. She seems to want company but then ignores you. Still wants to go out then after an hour loses interest in it. She now won't eat her morning feed (usually fish or ox tail) and her eating habits have changed for her evening feed as well. She's always been fed on a mixed biscuit and prime chunk beef around 500gs. She started spitting out the mixer so I upped her meat and reduced the mixer. she then started spitting out the beef and eating the mixer?? So again swopped it so now she is eating the meat not eating the mixer again. She is never off her feed My mates think it's cause of the weather, and one suggested it's because of my dad's dog being pts a few months ago (they went out many times through the week and did work together) but am not sure. She came out of season 2 weeks ago, nothing appears a miss, no lumps near her nipples back end etc. eyes ears are clear, stomachs not distended, teeth are good still drinking fine. Have re wormed her etc that's all ok and she hasn't lost any weight. She looks quite hang dog all the time, and doesn't appear to be interested in the rabbits we see on our walks, one even ran towards her the over day, and she didn't want to know. However if she spots a red (which I never worked her pre ban ) or the local moggies she is hell bent on catching them, in fact she had to be dragged out of a bush cause she cornered one in a tree log. Also if another bitch comes near her on the lead she's growling ( which has me on edge, round where I live there's a lot of pits). This is the dog who previously ran off from pugs and a teacup Russell!! She's always searched out them but not with this determination! Someone suggested getting a pup as she may now be getting lonely, and this might pick her spirit abit. although I have worked 9-5 for the last few years and it's never bothered her. Or is it just cause she's getting older now? She is due at the vets for her jabs in the next two weeks, I can't figure it out? Any serious suggestions please would be welcomed Thanks guys Quote Link to post
