Hi Lads,

 

Thinking of getting a Nikon Monarch III 6-24x50SF for my 243 anyone have one? If so are they any good?

Apparently they are quite good mate, was looking at one about two weeks ago and thought the reticle was way to thin for me personally... Something I've not seen in other scope yet.

All Nikon scopes are brilliant mate, if you get one get the bdc reticule, you will not be disappointed with a Nikon scope mate, after all the people that make arguably the best camera lenses in the world, should be able to make a scope eh? if you get the bdc bullet drop compensator reticule, you can go onto Nikon spot on ballistics calculator, put in the data for your rifle, IE, scope model, ammunition type, velocity ect, and it will bring up a chart showing your aiming points at various ranges, brilliant.

Hmmmm not bad CC , I went with a duralyt for my .243 but tbh I still think a 3-12 that I got is still not enough for the range I use it on...something to consider I guess

Thanks lads, I was thinking of getting the Matte Duplex cross hairs, on the website it says it has Spring Loaded Instant Zero-Reset Turrets, never heard of that before?

Yes it has and very good they are too, but get the bdc reticule mate, you will grow to love it
