Unpredicatble thing - this shooting business.

Went out this evening to check the zero on my hmr. I was quite please with the top group but look at that flyer! Had it been a fox it's the difference between a clean head shot or shooting his nose off.

Whilst I was at it I tried shooting without the specs I normally wear, using the scope to adjust for my sight, the results were quite surprising, much improved groups without specs. Mind you they had been misting up in the warm weather. Inner bull is 3/4".

Id defo try the federal ammo mate. Also hornady make a 15.5g and 20g hmr round I've not tried them but maybe worth ago. I just got rid of my hmr as i swapped it for a .22-250 but it loved hornady vmax 17g and federal v-shok. The cci tnt weren't bad either to be honest. With hornady vmax I could get 1/2 inch consistent groups at 100 yards off a bipod on a very still day.

I emphasis on the still day lol
