Heyford moles Pest Control 16
Hi All, I was wondering if a Larsen trap set down on the ground or one on legs has better success in catching magpies, I'm sure people have tried both just wondering about their results cheers look forward to your replies Quote Link to post
CharlieSlade 14
If you have it on legs make sure the bottom of the trap can't be seen through because then the magpie might try to attack from the bottom to get at the call bird rather than through the doors Quote Link to post
Matt 160
I think magpies like dropping down on the traps, and lifting it off the ground just stops them going round and round the outside of the trap. I've had some great results with a Clam trap (Larson Mate) lately. Simple, easy to make and very effective. Mine is powered with a bungee strap and took about 20 minutes to make. Quote Link to post
