Had a spin with Fiac tonight on the lamp for an hour had a good night, shes a few weeks shy of 14 months old and is really starting to learn her trade, gone are the puppyish runs of straight at them when she could be cutting them off and using her head a bit more, tonight she sort of came of age and started to use her noggin

 

she ran 16 and caught 13, so i was pleased with that, the only escapees were those that made it to the safety of the fence line so cant really grumble.

 

Her retreiving is getting better, some to hand and some about 5 foot away from a distance of as much as a few hundered yards, so looking good, a lot were taken in fields with sheep in it which was a first for us as i have worked since a puppy to break her to sheep but tonight was the first time i tried her with stock and she was fine.

 

we just made it home for closing time to the local and i got a pint and fiac got a shandy (she is an athelete so cant really let her have the hard stuff!! ) :drink_nl:

is it just the Irish that are insomniacs ,IL you know its way passed your bedtime,the incontinencesheets are in the cot for you allready,your wife just rang me and aske if I'd mention it to you.Frank I hope your just up.What the hell are ye doing 1st thing on the site,only sad people carry on like that........ahem
