Guest garywych Posted October 5, 2007 Report Share Posted October 5, 2007 hi ime new to the forrum. i need some advice basically. ime in the process of looking for a puppy, i love terriers and several of my friends have them. ive come accross some lovely borderlakeland pups and am tempted to get one. excuse my ignorance but i had thought that they were a cross between the border and the lakeland. the parents have lovely temperaments, (they live outside). the question is: are these terries suitable as pets and home living, how trainable are they and how sociable as pets. ime not in a position to go hunting with the dog and if that would be unsuitable perhaps it would be unfair to impose a pets life on an essentially working dog. ide really appreciate some sound experienced advice re this type of dog and what i can expect or not. regards gary.
