no mate they been fine the ones Ive had, same with all the ones that run I n our club, I cant think of one time in the last three years competing these types of one occaision where a lads dog refused to come back to him, its simply not happened. I take mine out as a pack and its mainly made up of pure saluki and I never really have any chew whilst out, yeah the odd time they take time coming back etc or they range out a bit further than ya want , but they give me a lot less trouble than some of the dogs I see about with there owners.

They do have a bad reputation but this seems to come from people who quiet happy to spend brewsters on a dog and then sell it when it doesn't perform miracles and make them a fortune in the process or cos they simply fail to understand its basic needs and therefore the dog becomes a right mare, I find that if you meet all its basic needs and treat them with the respect they deserve then you wont find a more faithful hound, that will try his best to please you, what many forget is these dogs are not infallible and they will miss hares and other quarry as well as catch them, just not all of em, they designed to run desert and hard terrain on fast skilful quarry , they should suit your needs with the land youse have over there, loads of saluki in USA they starting too win NOGCA coursing events such as grand course mor5e than in the past god luck pal, greta dogs very marmite love em or hate em
