chrismdd 787
Hi, Thinking of putting my old (80's) Feinwerkbau Sport 127 (.22) up for sale to make way for some much needed funds. The gun works fine but would benefit from a strip-down as I can only remember once in the last 20 years that it has had a replacement spring and piston seal put in on two separate occasions. It comes with a Nikko Stirling gold crown 4x40 wide angle scope (which I have always admired for clarity). There is also a basic ally silencer attached. The gun was used mainly for hunting during the 80's and then used on and off since then for a bit of plinking and the odd pigeon on the veggy patch. It does have a number of related scratches on the stock and metalwork but all cosmetic. I think the stock is the deluxe version if that makes any difference. So really want to know what should I put it up for if advertised locally? Is there a call for guns like this nowadays or is it mainly collectors? Chris Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,568
Hi Chris, I used the Feinwerkbau Sport 127 for years and years , 33 to be exact, for hunting . A lot of people think they were one of the best springers ever made. Sadly I part exchanged mine for a HW 100 KTS .22. Sentimentality to one side the Feinwerkbau Sport is a wonderful gun but simply doesn`t live with the HW 100 series and their capabilities in the hunting field . If your gun is just fair condition I would suggest £150 "ish", good condition £200 "ish", fine condition £250 - £300 from a collector. atb Edited April 8, 2014 by mark williams Quote Link to post
