chrismdd 787
Well with thanks to my ferreting buddy who saw an advert in a local store I am now the proud owner of an Air Arms S410 in .177 format that came with moderator, Hawke Nite Eye 6.5-20 x 50 scope, 3 good mags, 2 more for spares, the dive bottle gauge and connector as well as two tins of Daystates. The gun is pre-anti-tamper and looks in excellent condition and has been well cared for by its previous owner. All for £275 so should hopefully see me with a good weapon for a number of years to come. At present the gun is fully charged and the seller says I'm welcome to pop over anytime to charge it up. However, due to using it mainly for hunting I am being steered towards the pump method and inparticular the fx stage 3 or 4 pumps and to only pump it indoors and never allow the pressure to get below 110. Are there other S410 owners who happily use a pump like this? Also the gun is all original and everything moves smoothly (again testament to its previous owners care), but are there things I should check up over the coming months as I get used to using it? Also are there any good dvds or write-ups on doing basic strip-down and care of these rifles? Regards Chris Quote Link to post
moxy 617
Got a bargain there fella. Don't fix it unless it's broke. Just a general clean and a wipe over with an oily rag should be more than enough. You will find loads of info if you google the make and model and search images Quote Link to post
Daz39 962
Don't have the AA (I have the HW100) but use the FX 4 stage - I work between 90-200bar and the pump works fine for me. Quote Link to post
Gaz 177 263
Done well there and as already said a bargain I have an FX stage 4 pump and it does the job for both my hw100 and my MK4 with no problems so... Quote Link to post
