Cheap dimmer, about £2.50 I seem to remember from China

I have stripped the Dimmer unit out......

and rewired my Max with the dimmer circuit completely contained,

Centre control is the Max beam adjuster, the rotary control to the right is the dimmer.

The two slot head electrical bolts visible hold the circuit board in place internally, perhaps a drop of black paint on them sometime.

Excellent performance and much neater and less wiring than before!

One lead out of the Max now direct to the battery (via fusing and connector at battery end as previously), I had considered making a plug in lead to the max but not really happy with any of the small panel mounting plugs/sockets I found, this may happen at a later date!

This is the circuit board mounted internally, scale is not easy to see of course but the holes centre and to the right are where the 2 grey plastic bolt heads are visible on the back of the Tracer, so as you can see it very small!
