loftmonkey 2
HOW ARE DEERHOUND CROSSES ON RABBITS ARE THEY TOO BIG FOR THEM GENERALLY OR DO THEY MAKE GOOD RABBIT DOGS Quote Link to post
ginge2k6 0
My mate has a greyhoundxdeerhound cross, i have never seen it catch but i have been told it catches a few, personally i don't like the dog as it never concentrates on the job in hand, never stays to hand and never listens but i would put that down tho the owner because he is a right twit. Watch Lurchermania theres a few deerhound crosses on there doing the bussines. Quote Link to post
holy grail 0
deerhounds are a great breed. you could say that you don't need something quiet that big for rabbits, but if you also want a dog with a lovely nature then i recomend them. i just recently got one (purebred deerhound) and i just love him. they are a very big dog and are gentle until they are chasing. Mitch 0
I have only owned this one, but have seen others work. They seem to do well, however they dont seem as agile as the smaller dogs. This is my Bitch 29' to the should and she catches her fair share Quote Link to post
