If the Tories get back in with a big enough majority...i believe it would be overturned overnight.

No chance, none of the political parties will repeal the hunting ban.Its here to stay so we may as well get used to it.Whole problem with our argument is,that when hunting is mentioned in the media, the voting public always see image's of red jackets on horseback, lording it up.They don't see, miners or factory workers, etc working there dog's,or ferreting etc .Same with the people who should be promoting our sport, and arguing our case, its all for the money people.I've been a member of both, the basc, and the ca,More for insurance than anything else, but i dont believe they give a monkeys about your average dog man. They are all for the shotgun and tweed brigade.Last newsletter i had from the ca,was asking me to sell raffle tickets, and inviting me to an evening of classical music, all for the bargain price of £70 quid  As for badgering your local mp's,they'll tell you anything you want to hear to get your vote.

I know this much I certainly won't be voteing for a Govenment that Banned Hunting in the first place. I generally beleive if it was a Tory Govenment in power at the time a Hunting Ban was introduced it would never have been a issue, Basically we would all still be doing it now without a problem.

One thing you can Guarrantee is it won't get quashed under a Govenment who originaly Banned it.........

Mr Cameron being a hunting/shooting man himself im sure does not want to be controlled by fruity anits and this ban malrki!! Im sure he'll live up to his word and do the best he can to help get the ban overturned.

Im a true blue and so are all members of my family  We have a Lib Dem MP who is ANTI to the extreme and lives in the vilage i used to live. The Conservative candiadate for this area lives on a farm and is working to save local post offices and other country issues, he's sure got my vote

Now if this Euro thing goes through and Labour win the next election the country is defently f****d :wallbash:

feck talk about sit back and feck :feck: the next generations

not for me i will keep fighting to get this hunting ban repealed to give generation to come the same oppotunity i have had

listen by not voting at all is just as good a vote for the b*****ds who banned hunting in the 1st place

and as for lording it up in a red coat BOLLOCKS i wear a red coat i ride horses to hounds i shoot i wear tweed im no snob. im from the s.wales valleys working class family brought up with terriers & lurchers all my life from the day i was born i have cousons, uncles my father and G father all keep and kept terriers & lurchers (working) but got the bug for following hounds on a horse.

the problem is they r trying to tell us wat we can do and wat we cant its our rites we fighting for

so for feck sake be a bit more positive and do every thing u can to see off this BAN

so if the local MP will palm us off with wat ever we want to hear feck them just coz them the hassle of having to meeet us and taking they time just the same as wat they are doing by putting a BAN on hunting :wallbash: we owe it to the future generations and our working dogs past & present

KEEP FIGHTING dont sit back & bury u head in the shite

Well, i emailed mr Cameron with the question that if he was elected, what would he do about the hunting ban.

To my suprise, i got a reply, stating that he would put it to a free vote. Not quite the repeal that we were promised eh!

Dont hold your breath....

at least you got a reply,i've been e-mailing Ms Foster our enviroment minister here repeatedly and have so far got squat.

Good luck to you huntsman270,i admire your passion mate, and each to there own.I never called anyone a snob  You know and i know, that you get the "weekenders" on horse back, they don't give a monkeys about hunting, they just have the money to buy a ride.Unfortunately thats the image of hunting portrayed by the media, and as hard a pill to swallow as it may be,thats why hunting with dogs was banned.Riding a horse after the hounds isn't wrong, but it don't float my boat.I'll keep doing what i'm doing, and the all best to you and yours. As for being negative,i've never ducked a fight in my life,i just don't see the ban ever being repealled. :no:I'm not a quitter,i'm a realist.

Tally Ho

they after fishing same there its made up of people who are well off £ and folk who are not well off £

still they no right to fecking tell us our human rites

i dont go ferreting for rabbits or ratting much but id fight along side the people who do go to help save they sport

didnt mean that you a quitter i meant it in general to every one keep the fight on going

No goverment has the right to take away our free will.We live in a democracy (apparently) and if the majority say they don't like something, then we've had it.Yes the money the "weekenders" spend with the hunt's,does feed the horse's, and pay the wage's,but it won't save our sport.Would you fight alongside the ratters and ferreters to save there sport,or your own? :hmm: Good luck to you and enjoy what you're doing.I here the hunt's are doing better business now than pre ban.

Edited to say, thats my twopenny worth on this topic.I always find that politics, makes people who generally get on with one another, fall out.

I hate all this shite about snobs won't support Lurchers and ratters it's a load of crap. I've no doubt that there's a few who turn their noses up but f**k them. I hunt hounds I also go digging/ferreting/coursing/ratting/lamping I don't shoot at all but I'll stand up for the shooters at every oppertunity and so would all my snobby friends on horses in their pink coats! I'm working class and have worked for everything I own.

Lets have a bit of comradeship twixt everyone wether you choose to mooch with a Lurcher or follow a pack of hounds I swear that half the people on here don't actually get out and get amongst it.

Hunting means Hunting as a whole weather it be Ferretting/shooting out with the dogs or hunting from horse back or whatever. we should stand together and fight for what we've lost not fight amongst each other, and also try and protect what we still have!! getting off our arses and Voteing in the right direction also helps, if all of us said we're not going to bother to vote we might aswell give up Field sports now...

One of the reason Labour got in last time was because of a poor turn out in voters! I'm sure none of us really want that again and more restriction placed upon us? This Govenment has Introduced more laws than any other in History so lets all try and stay united and go someway by sticking together to get the crap out....

every hunt has the odd person on horseback who think they are above everyone else, ours included.but99.9% of the mounted followers are fantastic people.they all have the same love for hunting as we all have in any way or form.if you ask any of them then you never get turned down when asking for permission.at the end of the day we are all in the same boat so lets not sink it by disagreeing with our own.PS, HOW MUCH LONGER UNTIL WE CAN GET BACK AT IT AGAIN.IM GET REALLY PISSED OFF WAITING FOR THE CALL TO SAY THE RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED.CHEERS MOUSE.

What's particularly worrying at the moment is the amount of "look at us we're just like the conservatives" tactics recently being employed by labour eg inviting Margaret Thatcher to number 10; PR or what. They are obviously aware that some traditional conservative voters are not enamoured by Cameron and are trying to give them an alternative.
