Nik_B 3,790 Posted February 4, 2014 Report Share Posted February 4, 2014 In the past I've given my dog a meaty bone and let him work his way through it for a week or so, I figured that him gnawing away at it would be good for his teeth but that was when he was on kibble. I feed carcasses (Chicken or duck) meat ratio could be about that.. I feed necks and Pork or lamb ribs several times a week with extra flesh or mince. I don't really give the big beef ribs or knuckle bones.. Unless there was a nice bit of meat attached.. Some folk give big bones randomly as a treat..
