A1WOC 212 Posted January 21, 2014 Report Share Posted January 21, 2014 The big magnification/objective lens scope is heavy with a short depth of field (DOF) and better suited to range finding in Field Target use. When hunting you don’t always have the time to make parallax adjustment and a scope with a good depth of field can be an advantage. The smaller the objective lens the better the DOF and 10x magnifications is more than enough for air rifle hunting. MTC and many other reputable brands make a good range that's suitable for most air rifles, keep it lightweight with a good DOF and you won’t go far wrong. Regards, Steve 1 Quote Link to post
