Waxing Dirt

What do you guys think, bit of an eye opener for me but I know very little about trapping (thinking of getting started). Is this a common problem/solution over here?

Watched a few of the managementadvantage video's with great intrest, hope you guys enjoy them too. As I haven't read anything within the trapping section about the ground freezing over and causing dramas, I though it might be of intrest at the very least ;D

All the best, Venum

Footholds are illegal in the uk. To be legal a fenn needs to be set within the confines of an over-hang (tunnel). In hard weather I set a Fenn further into a warren than usual and this helps to avoid the trap freezing. Besides, it's only the Uk, not Alaska.....One way to stop soil freezing is to try and use very dry soil, freezes less then. I also use quite alot of sphag moss to cover the pan....where possible.
