so we are all in acceptance that man can be the cruelist animal in the world right? makes you think doesnt it! some of us hate vermin ie foxes etc because they kill our chickens ets. what type of animal can do this to another animal? oh yeah man. iv killed and eaten alot of animals from rabbits to deer but jesus this brought tears to my eyes. If you dont find this heart breaking and happy at the end you shouldnt look after animals, working or not.

How the hell is it so calm

They are like that when they shut down mentally. Depressed and in pain as well. Sadly, I've had several dogs in the same mental (but not the physical) state as that come to me. It is pure joy to see the light come back in the eyes when they realise that they no longer have to fear people and that they'll never have to starve again.
