Ejector Broken, Can I Remove And Still Fire?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, the ejector broke on my old single barrel shotgun today and it's restricting me opening the action(break barrel) it was made in 1958 so there is little chance of me finding another so I was wondering if I can just remove the ejector and finger pull the rounds, is this a dangerous idea or is it a safe thing to do?

if you tilt the barrel upwards it should open as the pin will slide back and you will get a pin from chambers gun spares but you will need to modify it to fit most liikely

I have taken the retaining pin out mate and pulled the whole extractor out, was just wondering if I could use it like that or if it's best to try and get one fitted

if its a straightforward pin you can make one from a tungsten carbide drill bit of the same diameter and an angle grinder

Yer that's not the problem, the problem is the ejector is bent mate, and I can't bend it back, the extractor still works tho, just wondering if I could just leave the extractor in and keep the ejector out(I was hoping to use it tomorrow )

what make is it Spanish???

I also true to contact this guy but he hasn't got back to me at all, is it dangerous to just use it without the ejector in it? I'm pretty sure he extractor will work if I just keep that in

try it with a piece of string to pull the trigger  should be ok tbh
