As the most regular and active Moddie in that place, I'd like to point out a few facts from my side of the fence. NO 'Illegal' talk is allowed in there. If I see it, there's a Polite warning given, publicly. If it's repeated, I Ban. ALWAYS assume there's a mole in the room. Barely an hour passes in there that I'm not sat watching the 'new' handle who isn't contributing much as everyone else natters away. NEVER assume, just because ye know them well from this forum that they're 100%. That isn't to say ye can blab off to those ye trust. If it gets Illegal, I'll get active against ye. Period. I ~ and all other Moderators ~ Cannot read ye Whispers. However, Ian B, as site administrator, could, if he chose to and had endless hours to waste. However, the rooms Host Company CAN RETAIN AND ACCESS EVERY WORD SAID IN THERE. INCLUDING WHISPERS! It's all spelled out under " HELP ". Bottom right of the page. Screw ye loaves! Mod's in there have the power to shut someone the f*ck up for a minute to endless hours. They also have to power to Ban an IP for ever. THEORETICALLY! Truth of the matter is, a Moddie's Ban isn't worth the keys it's activated on, in about 50% of cases. The room is thus a shower of shit as far as at least the most active Mod' it's ever known is concerned. But, beg Ian B as I might for a Moderatable Chat? Cupid Stunt's said it above; People bleat and we end up back at square one. So please don't ever think to blame me if ye get harrassed by idiots I'm powerless to control. ANYONE ever feels they have a grievance with my own ~ I feel ~ Fair, Polite and Active style of Moderating in there? They have only to Copy the text and PM it to Ian B. Bleating to me about when ye mate will be allowed back in, after he's ignored three polite and public requests to stop insistantly using " Text Talk " will get ye no where. Period. IF I actually manage to Ban some idiot under such circumstances; They'll Stay Banned. Sorry to any of ye who fall victim to the afternoon rush of 'Anti' school kids once in a while. I have a life. I dedicate as many hours to watching that hole as I can, but ..... Anyone's always free to pop out here and PM me. If I'm around, I'll nip in and try to sort it. But I have to run my own property and life, every bit as much as keep you all comfortable in there. That said; I'll be in in a minute. As ever, I'll do my best to keep everything sweet. Plus there is a couple of folk who go in there from time to time and we have a good laugh, who arent current members or who are banned. Lurcherbitch and Shameless are just 2 off the top of my head. They wouldnt be able to join in the craic if its was members only. But of course its Ians site so he gets the final say, I just wont bother with it anymore if its the same as last time (same as the one on smoochers) Quote Link to post Share on other sites
