chrismk5 1
I had an account on here before when I had my Irish coursing club greyhound, however I've tried every possible login I use,so im assuming it's been removed lol I've got 2 saluki x greyhound bitches that are 18month now, I've been trying to bring on since 8months old, but they showed no interest untill the last few months , There slowly getting there, bringing them on one at a time,

Mole man Kent 26
Lovely looking dogs mate. Never had any saluki in any of my lurchers but my cousin does. How do you find them?
chrismk5 1
these were bread from a pure saluki which does his job very well and the mother is first cross saluki grey, both dogs are brilliant workers so it has been bred into mine, I found it hard bringing them on,but I suspect it's just due to them both been bitches and lacking that bit of aggression, there brilliant around kids and come straight back with no issues, which I've heard is something saluki's can be hard to recall...but mine have always done as there told, Obviously as mentioned they have taken some bringing on but mine are sensible with it, rather than running over the top of quarry they will keep it off fences etc if they can do so, all I can say is there must be 8+ saluki inc crossed and they are all good workers, however you can't be aggressive towards them due to there nature or they will not come back lol..whippets are probably as close to there nature of all sight hounds , If you where to get a saluki id recommend anyone to do so when they are very young because you really need a good relationship with the dog to get the best out of them, They really take to one person, the feathered one is mine and is very loyal ,where as the short haired is my other halfs and she has taken to her, This doesnt make any difference while im out on my own and they do as there asked, I'll be lining mine to a collie grey at some point next year, this is what I would like anyway, Stamina is unbelievable in saluki's and will not tire out as quick as other dogs, one good reason to have saluki in a lurcher, I had a pure Irish coursing club greyhound he was brilliant on all quarry but tired well before these would
