blakeleyc 0
Hi this is my first post. i was wandering if anyone has had any experiences with the SRS i like the caliber change system among other things. i would use it for fox and deer (243) and othercalibers for larger game and target shooting thanks. Alsone 789
No experience, but comprehensive review here and a video about re-zeroing after a barrel change (1st link) and a hands on report on a forum (2nd link): http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2013/07/foghorn/gun-review-desert-tactical-arms-stealth-recon-scout-dta-srs-rifle/ http://ukvarminting.com/forums/topic/9394-desert-arms-tactical-stealth-recon-scout-srs-rifles/ I am kind of wondering why you want a barrel changeable weapon so much though given that each barrel costs almost as much as a good rifle! Surely its easier to change rifles than carry a big heavy barrel(s) and change calibres. Also, on the calibre front, what game are you after? All the calibres above .243 are deer calibres with the exception of .300 Winchester and .338 Lapua which are classified big game for "good reason". Just wondering if one calibre might fit all here for you assuming ammo cost isn't a factor which if you can afford an SRS isn't likely. Edited November 16, 2013 by Alsone Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
Dont bugger about with changing barrels mate, just buy a quality .243 or .25-06 and use it on everything, you will regret buying a barrel swapper, they are more trouble than they are worth. Quote Link to post
