beast 1,884
alright i know i'm thick before you lot start, but heres the question. i have just been given an old but good condition lamp, clulite. i've rewired it as some of the wires were a bit loose, but the beam seems just a bit dull. its got a 50w 12v battery in, can i change this for a 100w 12v? or will this damage the battery or blow the fuse or something? i am guessing that a higher watt bulb would drain the battery quicker? its not going to get much use from me to be honest, but nice to know its there as a back up, might even flog it if i dont use it much thank you Quote Link to post
dogmad riley 1,356
100w bulb will be fine but Like you said will drain the battery quicker. If it's an old bulb just might want replacing, I have a 50w in my clulite and it's bright and does the job. Quote Link to post
