Andrew Beirne 78 Posted November 3, 2013 Report Share Posted November 3, 2013 well it was our first proper day of the season up to know id just been out for 1/2 hours on me own wit the hob so today we had my sandy jill and my hob on a new bit of permission with Alans two new dogs they are 2 collie X grey one is a year and a half the other is 4 they both had track dogs as mothers and a good working collie he bought them 2 weeks ago and it was there first day out with us and our ferrets so we arrived no nets just one dog on either side of the hedge started on a nasty looking ditch that was riddled with holes dropped one ferret in either side and then the thunder began with bunny's bolting everywhere for a good half hour so obviously there was some missed but buster the 4 year old lurcher was making fantastic runs and well the younger dog was holding his own on my side of the hedge after half an hour out with the locators and got a mark of 4 on one collar the minute we started digging bunny bolted with my jills teeth embedded in its arse and got a mark of 3 ft on the hob dug to him he had 2 in a stop end and that is pretty much ho the day went all hedgerows and atlest one dig on each one altogether we had 7 digs but all were easy no pics as its too awkward with the camera when your watching bunnys very happy with the jill today really put in a good days graft working all the sets very well and well the hob he is very reliable and if they aint moving they will get his nashers in the back of the neck or the eyes but i had a fantastic in great company on lovely new land for us with two real nice dogs 1 Quote Link to post
