A Night Out With Matt Smith

Recommended Posts

All I've thought about today is lamping rabbits :)

:D Hahaha brilliant that did make me laugh, well mate you are certainly keen enough, so you will get there with a bit of practice, no doubt you will be writing your own hunting tales soon, but as for your arms getting tired haha you can come out foxing one night if you like, you can carry my .243 for a mile or two, then you will know what its like to lug a rifle round the fields :icon_eek: seriously you will get used to it though, best of luck to you mate, and if you fancy a drive over to Sheffield one night, I will take you foxing, so you can experience another branch or night hunting,

Nice one Charlie not every one is like us a lot of the lads have no land to shoot on and after they buy all the gear they end up selling it all for that reason so i like to give them a chance and teach them a few pointers along the way and may be one day they can repay the faver when they get some land atvbmac

Yes your right Bigmac, I always think about the people that have helped me along the way, over the years, and try to give a bit back now and again, that has always bemused me mate, surely you would get the land before going out and doing a grand on an airgun and all the bits, and then selling it 6 months later for 400 quid? But I suppose some people get the bit between their teeth and cant help themselves, I can understand I suppose, you cant beat enthusiasm and Matt Smith certainly seems to have that in good supply :D just needs to strengthen his arms up now then lol, my offer stands Matt if you are ever down my way pm me and I will take you out,you can bring your airgun, or if you like you can fly my Harris hawk at a few bunnies, that will exite you mate, oh better shut up the poor man will never sleep again :tongue2:

Maybe I should take him out on the deer then, do you think he would shake then? :tongue2: its just adrenalin, I still get it now and I been shooting 30 odd years, had a proper touch of buck fever last year, a nice Chinese water deer buck, stood broadside on about 140yards, I could not hold the bloody rifle still  I put the rifle down took some deep breaths, he had only moved about ten yards still broadside, dropped the crosshairs on his boiler room and let go, he dropped on the spot, and I still get it now and again with foxes, so it happens to us all mate, dont worry it will all come together.
