Another poem.

Recommended Posts

I thought after reading WHITSER's poem i would put one up of mine :D

The Chase.

The fox is sly ,the fox is cunning,

he breaks his cover, and now he's running,

he's running from fear, he's running from the pack,

he know's where he is going, as he takes a look back.

He pushes threw bracken, he pushes under gate,

the hounds are drawing closer now, but this is his fate,

he's old he's weathered, he's had his last fill,

the farmer will be happy now,no more chicken's will he kill.

He takes a tumble, which is his downfall,

the hounds are closer now, you can hear them call,

the first hound strikes, and takes a bite,

it's over in seconds, mr fox goodnight .

TALLYHO :D

That is one of my own little lloyd, and here is another.

Foot Followers.

It's cold, it's crisp, we're here for the meet,

we are the foot followers, stood with cold feet.

with snacks at the ready and hip flask to hand,

we're off for the chase, no time to stand.

We cram into pickups, or bike it or walk,

the elder followers chatting of old country talk

we are all different people from all walks of life,

just let us be and we'll cause you no strife,

we follow where ever ,till it comes to an end,

we are not all bad people as you'll see my good friend,

it's over to quickly, our day is now threw,

we'll all be here next next time, that much is true.

greatwhitehunter ile try and think of one for lamping and put it up.
