Dan25 87
Well got rained off work so decided to have a mooch around a new permission and to take out my ferret which had always been biting but over the last week some big improvement. Started at 11 clock nice easy 6 holer and with in a few minutes one was in the bag.the ferret I was using is my really tame small hob kit and it was working like a dream.really pleased with this ferret. so move onto another 4 holer nothing home so net another one up through some thick brambles get the big hob out the box ( the biter) and he is a fantastic worker I have to say with in a minute or to he has to rabbits in one net dispatch one while he is biting the other get hold of the rabbit and kill it then try to get him off its rediculous he want come off no matter what I do the eventually I pull him off and bang the little fffuccker has me right on the end of the finger so wanders off back in while I'm swearing at him lol and he bolts another which I missed.Hard work on your own.well boxed him back eventually he calmed down hes a real barsterd to pick up once he's on the scent.biput definatly getting better.last warren was a big one didn't have enough nets really.so netted what I could put the smaller hob in and he down for 10 mins and then we get one and then one bolted out of a hole with no net think from this warren bolted 5 only got 3.however the ferret laid up on a rabbit killed down the hole so dug him out after about twenty mins so 7 total with still loads of warns to do looks like it could be a good season and hopefully il keep all my fingers and stop ferret from biting he's getting better though atb Quote Link to post
