when it comes to accuracy as far as spring guns go this rifle is second to none. However the cocking mechanism on my gun is temporamental ,

the anti bear trap mechanism works fine but the safety rarely engages and when it does and I take it off safe the gun does not fire . I neeed any help I can get thanks for responses .

If the trigger settings haven't been altered then safety problems can be caused by lack of lube, AA reccomend a drop of light oil on the safety button on a regular basis. It's surprising how many people spend hours cleaning and lubing every bit of their TX or Prosport but forget the safety button!

Hi

As TT has said, had the same problem myself, drop of oil and it was sorted!

My hw97k had a sticky safety, I just punched the trigger mechanism out and then took the safety out, wiped the dirt off which was on it and put it back in. Works flawlessly now.
