dusk til dawn 169
I have been giving my dogs cod liver oil tablets in there feed regulare away when I say regular I mean 3capsuls a night every night, a raw egg most nights on dried food, proper meat (with there dry feed once a week. they like them that much they search them out to eat first. whats the problem ? well we don't know it all and was wondering if anyone knows a side effect it can cause internaly or anything else long term, if not I suppose I will keep on using it, or maybe get it in liquid form though looks more messy and expensive. plus the coat loves it. sandymere 8,263
Less raw egg might be an idea, I feed one or two a week, google biotin deficiency dogs and eggs. As to cod-liver oil there's not a lot in thel capsules so get a litre from horse/farm stores not to messy if careful, then a teaspoon/tablespoon full a day or less dependent on size of dog. There has been some negative studies such as to much vitamin A causing bone problems etc so don't feed a lot to puppies.
Gaz_1989 9,539
I use the big bottles from horse places. Think it's about £7 for 5 litres. Lasts ages. My bitch gets a tablespoon every night on her grub.
