Shocking there only giving two weeks to return it, if theyve cause for concern with someones safety then its on there backs to make the customer happy, not all people who have bought them will be on the slingshot forum and other websites related to them so two weeks is nothing for them

Yes it's pretty dire only giving 2 weeks to return the faulty product! They were even blaming customers for breaking their catapults on purpose at first too.

I was looking at one of there catties, was going to get one for my birthday but after hearing about all this im gonna leave them and look elswhere i think

what was the defect? cracking or bits falling off?

Having not seen any of the 'test results' I can't comment, but at a guess I'd say bad design and cheap quality alloy.

also I would just like People to understand that this Recall has nothing to do with John Webb of Game Keeper Catapults UK It is our decision to have the recall and in no way involves any one ells at this stage. The recall is for a period of 14 days from the 9th sept 2013 a full cash refund will be made on the return of the catapult or the individual can go to our web site and chose a catapult to the full value of the original one they got direct from us. Please don't Wang the fork to prove a point if in dought send it back that's all it takes. this product will no longer be made Avila bill in cast aluminium and will be take of our web site at some point soon P Hogan Group MD
