macberran 2
This is the whole carcass. She had had her throat crushed and the previous mail shows where her hip socket was, the white granules are bone fragments from gnawing. She is a 2yr old Lleyne ewe weighing around7-8stone. no other damage just her back leg, not like the next one I found 3days later in the same spot (20ft away)
Guest Ditch_Shitter
'Sorry', mate, but; I honestly see nothing in any of these shots to suggest a cat. I mean, I may be a bit rusty by now, it's been a while since I was up to my neck in all that stuff. But, honestly, that just says 'Dog' to me. There's really nothing Cat about any of it. If fact, just about everything's wrong for cat that could be. It's just not how they operate, truth be told. Have ye recce'd the area for sign? I'm taking it ye'd know what to look for and where? Might it be possible to snare the place those sheep are kept? If so, pound to a pinch ye'll end up catching a Dog.
Guest MOLLY
If it is a dog its a big one to have eaten a full leg, or it is wild, and it has taken it somewhere else to store or eat. Not nice not knowing when its your livelyhood being destroyed. Let us know when/if you find out...fascinating. MOLL.
macberran 2
Hi guys, you can check the other post for the reply, like I said it just happened. I lost another I'll get up the pics, but they're crap. It was dragged upside down into an old hedge by a wooded gully. Se lost all her ribs heart and lungs and the head. The thing with her was the wedging off the corpse in the bottom off the hedge along the line inbetween the roots, Astrong animal too do it, 30ft from the last spot and 3 days later. shotup 9
id say looking at the way its been savaged and wedged at the bottom of the hedge, it must be a pack of tramps possibly of eastern european origin.
Guest MOLLY
It might be a good idea to leave the corpse out tonight so no others are taken? Keep us informed please. MOLL. ps...what does wedging mean?
Groverdog 0
Hope you find out what did that. I suppose it would be naive to think there are no big cats out there but in reality from sightings and kills it looks like there are. And dont some species of big cat wedge kills in trees. There are those Kellas cats about arnt there? Could they have done something like this? If it turns out to be a dog obviously it has to be dealt with and its owner. Farmers struggle enough without this sort of thing happening.
Guest Ditch_Shitter
It was dragged upside down into an old hedge by a wooded gully. Now ye tell us that?! MacB, this is all getting a bit scattered for intelligent discussion, mate. I've just replied on ye Other thread regarding this matter. Are we to discuss in stereo and with intermittance here? Could ye not perhaps cap this thread off and we can all go concentrate our thoughts and efforts on the other one? And, Please; If ye have any more little gems to come out with? Spit it out. Otherwise ye'll soon find people suggesting ye just adding details as ye read them up from elsewhere And no. I'm Not suggesting ye doing that. But what ye are doing is piecemeal wrecking any case for credance ye may ever be able to present here. Eg. Have ye seen, heard, photographed or otherwise recorded anything? If so, let's have it all and now. Not later tonight, after a few more posts. Otherwise this whole episode will just lose credibility - with the credible - and become Bampling Material. GroverDog; The so called 'Kellas Cats' appear to be no more than possible WildCat / Domestic cat hybrids. Lamb? Quite possibly. Full grown ewe? Never in a month of sundays.
