stroller 341 Posted July 5, 2013 Report Share Posted July 5, 2013 Well I have a young dog I am working with at the minute and I have decided to get him up and working on the gun first before I introduce him to ferreting. I could have done it the other way about but I want his main job to be hunting birds so I decided to train him this way round. After a couple of seasons and he settles down he will have worked out what its all about and switch his style accordingly. The best dogs are the ones worked regularly and at various jobs it just makes sense that you will build a much better stronger bond when you are both out hunting a lot of the time 1 Quote Link to post
