There's men and women out there who will know loads more than me mate to be truthful.

 

Its like owt if you have a real interest in something you tend to apply yourself and learn about it.

 

To be truthful there was no better feeling than thinking a mateing thru'

 

Sorting the bitch out in readiness for being lined.

 

Giving her the best ' no expense.

 

Then the same for the pups.

 

Rearing them.

 

Schooling them and then seeing them turn out to be top Competition hounds.

 

No disrespect but you have much more chance of doing the same with a lurcher or terrier ect

 

With Greyhounds its Fractions that seperate good dogs from Greats and seconds from Rags to decent dogs.

 

There are Millionairs who spend 30k-70k everyother year on a hound or two and in a lifetime will never have the success we had with that litter.

 

Memories' Great ones at that.

i dont no much my dad no more than me bout the greyhounds, he got lucky the other day and give 2000 euro for a bitch that got to third round of william hill derby this year, she got knocked bad but i reckon she would have qualified come out like rocket, got the makings of a good bitch she running opens. i would like one myself one day really like the sport but like you said its all about fractions, i no a few fellas went in on one for a few quid and it only made a grader. all a gamble just like the lurchers. atb
