I was just wondering can you use ivomec poron SP on ferrets to treat/prevent fleas and ticks ????

i have used it beore from a dropper on dogs and ferrets and even the cat, when i had the dog down for a check up asked me what i use for fleas and i told him i use pour on for the lot, i was told not to use it as he said it damage,s the membrane around the nasal passage. i just use frontline now.
