comanche 3,397
For my sins I'm a bit of a Relum fan. Specifically the Tellys. I own three of the things and a Tornado and all knock out about 10ftlbs after having been pulled apart and rebuilt with a bit of care . So I'm reasonably familiar with em. Anyway ,a mate has asked me to give the treatment to an old .177 Telly Junior 45 ( B*stard won't sell it to me). The stock and present power output are more suited to the junior user but the cylinder and rifle parts are identical to its bigger brethren . Apart from the carbine length barrel. Would the extra power hopefully created by upgrading the spring, fitting a new washer and reworking the piston be wasted on the short barrel ? Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
It'll be fine, mate. Pretty much everthing that's important happens within the first eight or so inchs in most springers barrels. Quote Link to post
comanche 3,397
Thanks for the reply andyfr. I could'nt really see any problem especially as a lot of barrels seen to be fairly short these days compared with older rifles. Its a dinky little rifle but It'll be fun if we can create something of a "sleeper". 1 Quote Link to post
