Sporting Whippet Club N.I. Show / Race Day Last Sunday 2nd June 13

Had a brilliant day out last Sunday at the Sporting Whippet Club NI, 2nd Show of the year, held at Dunsilly, Co Antrim. There was not a cloud in the sky, as we set up the rings and prepared for the influx of Whippet men and women and their beautiful Whippets. This was to be the start of a great days showing and Racing. There were some lovely cups and trophys to be won, and were well displayed for all to see. It was nice to meet up with some old faces, as well as making some new friends. The grading for the racing began at approximately 12.30, and the showing followed immediately afterwards .

Finally, A big thank you to the judge of the day Michael Quinn (Junior ). Michael, you are definately a chip of the old block. Your father Mickey is very proud of you. You carried out your duties with impeccable judgement. In your young years, you have gained a wealth of knowledge in the Canine world, and is a credit and shinning example to all young sports men and women in the doggie world. Us old foggies could learn a thing or two from you. Keep up the good work Michael.
It was a pleasure to see Janet Boyce at the Whippet club again on Sunday after an illness. Janet it was so good to see you back in form again, and look forward to meeting up with you again at the rest of the shows in the summer. Bluebell was there with her camera, as was Tracy Gill and Janet Duke clicking away in our monments of glory. Many thanks to our Chairman Janet Duke and her committe for another nice family day out at Dunsilly.
