Jasglo68 11
Hi all After reading a lot online about weihrauchs quality control in the last few months , I was a little dubious about buying a new hw to add to my other spring rifles. I finally gave in and last week I got myself a hw97kt .177. I already have a tx200hc and a tuned hw95k so I know what a smooth spring rifle should feel like and I was not expecting much from the 97 " out of the box " . Well I am pleased to say that all my fears have been laid to rest I don't know if weihrauch have upped their game , but I've had no dieseling or twangy spring issues and it was single hole accurate from day one. Now , after about 3-400 shots , its as smooth as my other two guns and deadly accurate. I can balance a pellet on the action in front of the breech and it stays put whilst firing ( it was too easy on the scope turret ) . There's no noise when cocking the gun other than the sears engaging and the sight picture hardly moves on firing. I've chrono'd it and its running at exactly 11ft/lb with Air Arms 4.52mm. So I'm gonna leave it well alone. Hopefully this means Weihrauch have sorted out their quality control issues and maybe listened to what people have been saying. All the best from one happy hw97kt owner 3 Quote Link to post

Mawders 595
What good news that is. To be honest both HW's I've owned this past year I never got to fire out the box as they were purchased new from SFS already tuned. I did fire one at my local club last month that was newish and not tuned and it recoiled and rattled like a monster! The vibration was terrible but the guy who owned it was getting 5p sized groups at 30 yards so he obviously doesn't have a problem with it! Phil Quote Link to post

Phil Edited You should of give him a number of one of your contacts on your phone Phil then he could have tuned it for him with a plastic coke bottle . Edited May 27, 2013 by zini Quote Link to post
