koda 83
im in the process of building a new ferret court and im wondering what size mesh to buy,ive got some left off my old dog run but its 5cm x 5cm do you think they would get through this ,? cheers Quote Link to post
DanAdams 10
I wouldn't use the 5cm mesh if I were you i think they could probably get out. I think I've got 25mm on some of the run but 10mm on most. The smaller the better really. I think 25mm works out cheapest, I've never had any problems with it. I don't know if you know but don't use chicken mesh, ferrets can make holes in it. Welded mesh is the best. 1 Quote Link to post
koda 83
yes I herd about the chicken mesh cheers .ill get some small welded mesh tomorrow cheers Quote Link to post
Guest norseman
aye a smallish ferret will get through 2" mesh, 1" or 25mm mesh will do the job, Quote Link to post
The one 8,594
5cm is two inches ?. i prefer half of that 1 inch weld mesh stops the ferrets getting out and hopefully folk trying to cut it Quote Link to post

I think it's a case of the more you spend the longer it'll last (usually) ATB Dan Quote Link to post
Country Joe 1,411
Im thinking of temporally converting my kennel to house the ferts, would be easy to put it back to a kennel if i needed it. Im thinking of using a sheet of clear Perspex over the mesh to keep out rain. Quote Link to post
