Malt 379
should be fine, only trouble i have is when i took the whippet out with the terriers he spent more time deep in cover with the terriers then he did chasing bolters. My beddy/whippet is the same, he's more interested in getting in to see what the terrier is up to than watching for anything that might be bolting. If I had him from a pup again I'd try keeping him on a slip when I first started taking him out mooching. It might not have turned out much different, because even when I've tried it later on he's still totally focused on the terrier and not looking out for anything that might be coming out. He is thick as shit mind! On the other hand, my mate's got a beddy/whippet x greyhound who will work the hedge line so I suppose it all depends on the dog. When I'm in a better position I'm going to try getting a dog with a bit more intelligence to work alongside them and keep it on slip until it knows the score. Quote Link to post
