Mark Couzens 2
hello folks i have a hatsan escort with a choke tube stuck absolutely fast. has anybody got any tips on removal before i slot the choke and fold it in. thanks in advance mark Quote Link to post
gouldy257 79
take it this means its stuck and wont move??? if so spray with plenty of wd40 and let it soak in... if u have a old tub put oil in and leave barrel in it over night should come out next morning Quote Link to post
Mark Couzens 2
thanks for the quick reply. Ive soaked it for 3 days in wd and tried heating the barrel with boiling water etc but it still wont budge. i reckon it will need cutting out thanks mark Quote Link to post
gouldy257 79
shit... how do you find the escorts 2 shoot with is there many faults in them?? Quote Link to post
Mark Couzens 2
it shoots well when i got it it wouldn't cycle. but that was due to neglect. just needed a thourough clean now it works fine i shot 150 through it on sunday with no jams. i shot a 40 out of 75 esp with a half choke stuck in it so i was quite pleased with it mark Quote Link to post
gouldy257 79
good 2 hear but you've probably welded your choke in with that many shots... did you shoot them in a rapid manner?? Quote Link to post

trenchfoot 4,243
Stand it in diet coke overnight. Sounds daft but does work. Try just heating the barrel rather than the choke tube as well Failing that, half choke in a semi is a good all-round choice anyway Quote Link to post
