had my first proper count and look at the kits today with ferreting partner as he came up to see his ferrets for next season counted them all i have 7 kits jill is doing very well eating all her grub and looking after them well but one of the kits seems to be deformed or disabled it has no tail half of his left back leg and 3 quarters of its right back leg any ideas on how this happened

By any chance were the jill and the hob related? Other than than its nature, and nature will take its coarse! Alb with them

No in no way where they related at all

Jills been to course cleaning it and ate its legs before she stopped ,this her first litter ?.

ferrets can throw 1 of them an odd time anyway.. . we had a litter of kits and one came we no back leg rare one it was get it put down somehow ATB we them lad

Jill eats them by mistake when cleaning the kitt after birth an eating cord an afterbirth. N
