I think if it was straight on to wood would have a impact but the foam acts as a buffer can't complain for £5 eh.

 

Gonna try them out Friday at the rabbits

You can still rest your hand on top of the cross over still you still have your hand under the rifle and sticks supporting your hand

These are the sticks i use when shooting from the sitting position. Again they are very simple and very cheap but totally effective. Both these birds were taken around the 30 yard mark.
