Hw77 Scope Combo Issues

hi folks i got a hw77 a few weeks back the gun is spot on but im having a bugger of a job getting on with the scope to eye placement as the comb is low as hell on these , i recently bought a white tail classic scope for it but had to mount it in a medium mount as it has a 50mm objective lense ,when shooting rested its ok but the minute i have to make a standing or kneeling shot its all to pot , today i picked up a hawke nite-eye 3-9x40 scope from my local gun shop really cheap but will it fit in low mounts as all the low ones i can find say 32mm scope is the fitment for them . if you have managed to do this with lows and a 40mm obj lens what make of mounts did you use , cheers for reading guys

i also fitted a bisley adj buttpad but it didnt really help that much , cheers for the how too davy it helped heaps

why dont you get something to highten the comb of your stock.. like a piece of foam or wood ducktaped round it lol.

as daft as it sounds im trying too keep it looking as standard as possable seen plenty of guns in the 97 stock and i did think of going down that route but i love the lines of the 77 and dont want to spoil the gun

get a good quality 32mm scope then and put it in low mounts.

 

or buy the new design hw77 stock.. although it does look more like the 97 than the 'old' 'traditional' 77 lol

oh and when i had my hawke panorama 40mm on my hw95k with a 1 piece medium hawke sport mount the obj lens was almost touching the action. so i dont think a 40mm would go in low mounts mate

cheers skot my mate has low mounts hes gonna lend me , might have to go down the 32mm route
