it will never be a new breed as there crossbred so really its a mongrel what we call a lurcher bred to do a job ie hare only dog or lamp dog bred down in size for ferreting dogs theres lines of dogs which go back many years bred for one thing hare then you got your line bred fox dogs rabbit dogs and so on but they will never be a new breed as there a old breed now the lurcher.atb

But arnt all dogs mongrels in a sence ?? A result of cross breeding / in breeding and line breeding to bring out the desirable characterristics that the breeder is looking to achieve.

If you can give proof of so many generations and good account of what's coming out of each litter like the type and even down to the colour say the likes of labs / rotties / dobbies / Dalmatians ect or say the variation in colours with the likes of whippets / staffs / greyhounds ect

The labradoddle or other x breeds that can be be defined by 3 or 4 things could be defined as a breed and in some cases even be kc regd

You'd struggle to recognise labradoodles, because they never breed to type. Even in the same litter you can get huge variations in coat, build and height. You'd have more chance with Beddy x Whippets as they breed to type and all more or less look the same. It's a shame that all the beddy x whippet owners are out pulling fallow bucks and are unable to formulate a breed standard.

Labradoddles a recognised but as u say you may have trouble to get them recognised within the kc.

And in regards to any hunting breeds I hope to god they don't get them kc'd as it will then fcuk up the type by the money chasers :/ as it has with many other breeds
