I got a little white jill who has just had her first litter, which are 5 weeks old now, she has always been a bit nippy, but just latly she has got quite nasty, i cant get any where near her with out her wanting to savage me, why would she be like this ??? or have i just asked a really silly question, and the answer being because she got kits ????

She is just being over protective as she has the kits she will get back to normal in a few weeks :D

shes just being a good mum one of the rescues i took in would run and lunge herself at me as soon as soon as i opened the door i had to keep a hutch by the court to put her in so that i could clean out the run and feed etc the whole time she was in the hutch she would hiss spit and scratch at the wire as soon as i put her back in she would rush round checking that all the kits were still there then she would drag them all back to the nest ! :icon_eek:

by the time the kits were 9 weeks she was back to her normal friendly self she still rushes to the door but thats because she is pleased to see me shes not trying to kill me any more
