Tiercel 6,986
I have spent an hour (and enjoyed it) looking for any reference to Anne Cooke, and the only thing I could find is that she was the first woman to open a photographic portrait studio in 1843 while this is in the very early victorian era. Most refrences to victorian photography seem to start from 1870 onwards. I did come across one blog that listed Victorian photographers but most from the later part of Victorias reign. Just found this site names a Mary Ann Cook. http://www.victorianphotographers.co.uk/ TC Edited to add: If you are willing to pay they have more info on an Ann Cooke. http://www.victorianphotographers.co.uk/index.php?searchStr=anne+cooke&category%5B%5D=4&_a=viewCat&search=Submit Edited March 28, 2013 by tiercel
