tong po 129
i had two whippets from the same breeder but with 12months age difference then brought a patterdale 12 months later all was fine until the younger whippet turned 1 then he tried to kill the other whippet(all male dogs)ended up having to get rid of younger whippet and pay a hefty vets bill.Just have the 1 whippet and patterdale and they are inseperable and work well as a team.dont listen to people who tell you whippets are to soft mine hasn't missed a nights hunting even with all this snow just make sure its from good working stock.good luck Quote Link to post
wooly 24
I know litter mates can be a problem but I have three dogs out of the same litter they are all kenneled separately but exercised together they do need a very strong hand but are generally not a problem but their never left alone together. I also have two bitches not related neither will tolerate each other they are absolute nightmare but good workers so I tolerate it. You probably best to see how they come on you'll probably find one dominates the other and they develop their own pecking order but when their out siblings tend to take more notice of each other than they do of you that said I wouldn't part with mine.
