but perhaps a few don't

THE LAKELAND TERRIER
Wherever you live in Cumbria
By Lakeside, moorland or fell,
You’ll all heard of Good working Terriers
Brave tykes that have battled so well,
They have given their all for their masters
Old Charlie's got nowhere to hide,
On a cold winter's night by the fireside
Their names are remembered with pride.

Names like Tarzan, Rip and Black Davie,
Rock, Moll, Tatters and Jo,
Like Turk, Bill, Blitz and Tiger
Scamp and there’s Tex and Bingo
Like tinker mantle and Trixie
Rags and Monty and Jen
Dogs like Talent, Ruby and Penny
So many you can't name all them.

If you walk later night on the fellside
And you'll hear the noise deep underground
It's the ghost of an old working terrier
Still marking his Fox to be found,
They’re as game as they come is the Lakeland
He'll never give less than his all,
And although he may tire at his business
His name will live on to walk tall.

If you live in the South down in Cornwall
Or up North in the Island of Skye
A Lakeland will always be willing
To go to his quarry and die,
He carries the blood of his father's
Proof that he is always dead game,
And he'll sit by the side of the master
Who with pride will remember his name.
